Pakistan Military Offensives: Punjabi Army Will Not Succeed in Balochistan
Dera Bugti in Turmoil Once Again: Ongoing Pakistani Military Aggression Leaves Civilians in Distress
BRA claims to have targeted Pakistani forces engaged in offensives against civilian populations
QUETTA: The conflict in Dera Bugti, Balochistan, has escalated once again as Pakistani forces intensify their offensives in the Saghari area of Sui.
Reports indicate that heavy shelling from helicopters this morning has left several civilians injured, including three women and five newborns.
Local sources report that on Sunday, October 6, the Pakistani military besieged the areas of Rais Tukh, Lanja, Saghari, and the surrounding regions of the Kachi Canal, deploying armoured vehicles from Kashmore Road to Mohen Pat Road.
Helicopters continue to conduct aerial bombardments, placing both human lives and livestock at grave risk. Civilians in these areas have reported widespread damage and fear as the relentless aggression persists.
Among the injured are residents from the Dinari Takkar region, including a woman. There are growing concerns that the violence could lead to large-scale destruction of homes and farmland, further aggravating the already tense atmosphere.
In a statement to the media on Monday, Sarbaz Baloch, spokesperson for the Baloch Republican Army (BRA), confirmed that three separate attacks were carried out on Pakistani military personnel in the Sui area. These strikes targeted forces engaged in offensives against civilian populations in Rais Tukh and Lanja.
The first attack occurred in the Rais Tukh area, where Pakistani soldiers were ambushed with heavy weapons, resulting in four fatalities and eight injuries.
The second attack targeted a convoy of Pakistani troops attempting to storm civilian areas, using rockets and automatic weapons to destroy an armoured vehicle, killing five soldiers and injuring six.
In the third incident, as Pakistani forces arrived to assist their colleagues, they were targeted with heavy weapons, resulting in three fatalities, including a captain identified as Major Hamza.
BRA also claimed responsibility for shooting down two advanced surveillance drones used by the Pakistani military to monitor Baloch resistance fighters during the ongoing conflict.
The Pakistani military has reportedly deployed additional troops to the area, with over forty military trucks entering the region.
Local sources confirm that forces have cordoned off key areas, including Rais Tukh, Lanja, and Saghari.
Military checkpoints have been established, accompanied by reports of firing and explosions near these positions.
Civilians, particularly farmers and livestock owners, have been ordered to vacate their homes, leaving many in a state of panic and uncertainty. The crackdown has caused widespread anxiety, with reports of further military build-up and intensified operations in the region.
As violence continues to escalate, residents of Dera Bugti brace for more destruction.
The Baloch Republican Army (BRA) has vowed to persist in resisting the Pakistani occupation, promising a “severe lesson” for the military forces terrorising unarmed civilians.
The situation remains critical, with concerns that the conflict could spiral further, leading to increased casualties and displacement of innocent civilians.
It is worth mentioning that since the appointment of Sarfaraz Bugti, the military-backed Chief Minister of Balochistan, the situation in Dera Bugti and the rest of Balochistan has worsened, marked by routine military aggressions and atrocities.
