Pakistan Military Offensives: Punjabi Army Will Not Succeed in Balochistan
Baloch Liberation Army Condemns Attack on Pashtun Labourers in Duki
QUETTA: The spokesperson for the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), Azad Baloch, has issued a strong condemnation of the recent attack on Pashtun labourers in Duki, which resulted in the brutal murder of at least twenty individuals.
In a press release, Baloch described the assault as a clear indication of a conspiracy orchestrated by the Pakistani establishment, aimed at inciting conflict between the Baloch and Pashtun communities.
Baloch emphasised that this incident reflects the longstanding strategy by Pakistan against the historic brotherly ties between the two nations. He pointed out that similar tactics were employed by Pakistan in the 1980s, yet the enduring relationship between the Baloch and Pashtun has remained intact.
“The Pakistani army collects millions in extortionate taxes from coal mines with one hand while perpetrating the massacre of labourers with the other,” Baloch said, denouncing the duality of the military’s actions.
He criticised the occupying state for its ongoing use of such tactics, which he said are designed to sow division and hatred while misleading the international community regarding the true nature of the struggle for national freedom in occupied Balochistan.
Azad Baloch reiterated that both the Baloch and Pashtun communities are well aware of the Punjabi state’s schemes and emphasised that areas like Duki, which have historical ties to Afghanistan, are under illegal Pakistani occupation. He called for recognition of this fact, adding that Pakistan is equally oppressing both nations.
In his statement, the BLA spokesperson warned foreign investors and companies about the realities of operating in a war-torn region like Balochistan. He urged them to avoid falling prey, to Pakistan’s misleading narratives and to be cautious of the risks involved.
He also appealed to Arab countries, reminding them of their own historical experiences under colonial rule, urging them to acknowledge the exploitation faced by the Baloch and to respect their right to freedom and self-rule.
The BLA’s statement highlights the urgent need for international awareness and action regarding the ongoing state violence and human rights violations in Balochistan, as Baloch and Pashtun nations continue to call for justice and safety.
