Pakistan Forces Abduct Baloch Youth from Turbat and Karachi
QUETTA: In an escalation of enforced disappearances in Balochistan, recent reports detail multiple incidents involving young men detained by Pakistani forces across Balochistan and Karachi.
On October 13, three individuals Attaullah son of Noor Bakhsh, Yasir Baloch son of Hamidullah, and Bilal Imam son of Imam Bakhsh were forcibly disappeared during an offensive in Turbat district, Kech.
The pattern of enforced disappearances continues, as on October 14, four young men were detained during a raid on a hotel in Karachi.
Identified as Zain Baloch, Zarif Ahmed, Akram Baloch, and Anis Baloch, the four were staying at the hotel in the Saddar area for medical treatment.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that Karachi police, alongside personnel in civilian attire, conducted the raid, detaining the hotel manager along with the young men. The manager was later released, but the fate of the four remains uncertain.
The Baloch Solidarity Committee has voiced concerns over the rising trend of enforced disappearances which continues unabated in Balochistan including Karachi.
