Jaish Al-Adl claimed to have killed or wounded 12 IRGC soldiers and lost 4 fighters
DOZZAAP (ZAHEDAN): A military convoy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Iran was targeted on Friday, November 8 in the Rask and Sarbaz areas of Iranian-Occupied Balochistan.
The attack, which occurred around 5 kilometres outside Rask city, resulted in at least 12 IRGC soldiers being killed or wounded. The operation also claimed the lives of four members of Jaish Al-Adl, a Baloch militant group resisting Iran’s atrocities in the Western Part of Balochistan.
The Jaish al-Adl (Army of Justice), accepted responsibility for the attack adding that the IRGC convoy had entered the region as part of the ongoing “Martyrs of Security – Shuhada-e-Amiant” military exercise, which was taking place in southern Balochistan.
The convoy reportedly travelled from northern Balochistan and passed through Rask and Sarbaz counties.
During the ambush, Jaish al-Adl fighters engaged in a fierce gun battle with the military forces. In the course of the clash, the group confirmed the martyrdom of four of its own fighters.
Additionally, the IRGC forces opened fire on a civilian vehicle, a Peugeot, which belonged to a Baloch family. The gunfire from the IRGC forces struck the family, leaving them wounded.
The civilian victims were identified as Abdullah Izadshenas, a 45-year-old metalworker from Firozabad, and his family. They were transferred to a local hospital following the attack.
The identity of one of the killed IRGC personnel was confirmed as Mohammadreza Rostami Nejad, a member of the elite “Al-Mahdi” special forces unit from Jahrom.
Jaish al-Adl in a statement following the attack, addressed the Iranian regime’s forces and vowed that their struggle in Balochistan would continue.
The group warned that the uprising of the people of Balochistan would soon expand to other parts of Iran, promising that the war would reach the homes of the regime’s tyrants.
The statement also conveyed a message of defiance, claiming that many more Baloch fighters were ready to sacrifice their lives to defeat the oppressive regime of the Supreme Leader.
The “Martyrs of Security” military drill, which locals have heavily criticized for its disruptive impact, was intended to increase military presence in the region, including surveillance operations.
