Balochistan: Iranian Forces Arrest Four Baloch Youth in Chabahar
DOZZAAP (ZAHEDAN): On Monday, December 2, 2024, forced confessions from one of the three Baloch citizens were broadcast by the media of the Islamic Republic.
The three individuals were detained by Iranian military forces in Chabahar, Iranian-Occupied Balochistan (IoB), on Thursday, November 7, 2024, and transferred to the Intelligence Department in Zahedan.
According to the Baloch Activists Campaign, the detainees are identified as Mehran Gonjti, his brother Mehrdad Gonjti sons of Anwar, and Zahid Parki son of Ali Akbar. All three are residents of Chabahar and originally from Sib and Suran County.
The forced confession of Mehran, under the alias “Dawood,” was published by the state-run media on Monday.
In the report, it is claimed that forced confessions were extracted from Mehran.
Zahedan’s prosecutor, Mehdi Shams-Abadi, explained: “In continuation of the Martyrs of Security exercises, the leader of the terrorist group affiliated with the separatist ethnic movement Sahab, along with two of his accomplices, was arrested.
“Four armed individuals were also killed, and significant amounts of ammunition and weapons were discovered and seized from them.”
Sahab, which had previously organised protests and gatherings in Balochistan, has denied the claims made by the authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
On Sunday, December 1, 2024, another Baloch citizen was arrested in Chabahar following a raid by the Intelligence Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) at his home.
The identity of the detained Baloch citizen was reported as Behrooz Dinarzehi, a 35-year-old son of Essa, from Sarbaz County, and a resident of Chabahar.
