Balochistan: CTD and Death Squad’s Personnel Injured in Harnai Attack

QUETTA: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for a grenade attack on the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) office in Harnai on December 13, which resulted in six individuals being injured, including two CTD personnel and four members of the local Death Squad.

According to a statement from Azad Baloch, the spokesperson for the BLA, the attack was carried out by the group’s “freedom fighters” while members of the local Death Squad were present at the CTD office.

The statement also added that the targets of the attack were individuals associated with the CTD and the Death Squad, both of whom are accused of collaborating with state forces in anti-Baloch activities.

“The attack injured two notorious CTD personnel and four members of the local Death Squad,” Baloch said. “All informants and members of the Death Squad in Harnai are on our target.” The BLA further warned collaborators to cease their actions, threatening “a terrible end” for those who continue to aid state forces.

In the statement, the BLA also issued a strong warning to local police and Levies forces, urging them to refrain from assisting the state in its operations against the Baloch national movement.

The group declared that any continued cooperation would result in further attacks, stating that these forces, too, would be targeted “without any hesitation.”
