Balochistan: Another Family Demands Justice for Missing Relative, Threatens Protest
QUETTA: The relatives of Sanaullah, who was abducted from the Jusk area of Turbat city in Kech district, have demanded his immediate release and threatened to stage a protest if he is not recovered.
Speaking at a press conference at the Turbat Press Club, the family said that Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) officials forcibly took Sanaullah son of Imdad, from their home on the night of December 16, 2024.
According to the family, Sanaullah, a professional driver, works at the border. They added that initially, the CTD assured them he would be released after an investigation, but later, the department denied having any information regarding his whereabouts.
The distressed family expressed their mental anguish due to the forced disappearance and called on the authorities to present Sanaullah in court if there were any charges against him. They demanded a fair trial to end the uncertainty and suffering.
During the press conference, the relatives issued a two-day ultimatum to the district administration, warning that they will resort to protests if Sanaullah is not returned or if no information is provided.
The family indicated that their demonstration could take place along the CPEC route or at another prominent location, with a formal announcement to follow once the ultimatum expires.
They held the district administration and relevant authorities accountable for any protests or demonstrations that may occur.
It is worth noting that, on the previous day, the families of six other Baloch men held a press conference at the Turbat Press Club, giving the authorities a two-day warning for the release of their loved ones. They also warned that after the ultimatum, they would protest, holding the authorities responsible for the situation.
