 BLA Claims Responsibility for Attacks on Pakistani Forces in Quetta

QUETTA: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for a series of coordinated attacks on Pakistani security forces in the Shaban area of Quetta. 

The group stated that five personnel were killed and ten others injured during the clashes, with weapons seized from the killed personnel.

According to a statement issued by BLA spokesperson Azad Baloch, the attacks took place during the night between February 20 and 21. 

BLA fighters reportedly set up blockades and launched strikes on Pakistani forces at multiple locations in the region.

The group further detailed that two military checkpoints, allegedly manned by Frontier Corps (FC) personnel disguised as Levies, were simultaneously attacked. 

Additionally, a convoy of FC and police reinforcements arriving from Quetta was targeted at another location.

The clashes lasted for over two hours, resulting in significant casualties among the security forces. 

According the BLA’s statement, the groups successfully seized weapons from the fallen personnel before retreating.

The Pakistani media and forces confirmed Shaban attack and casualties to Pakistani forces.
