DOZZAAP (ZAHEDAN): On the night of February 22, 2025, four Baloch citizens, killed by Iranian forces, were buried in the Aspech region of Saravan after 113 days of enforced disappearance. The bodies of the victims were returned without any explanation from the Iranian authorities.
A gathering of people and relatives took place at the Murshid Muhammadi cemetery in the Aspech region, where the bodies were laid to rest without washing, under the martyr’s rites in Islam.
The identities of the deceased Baloch citizens were: Mohammad Reisi (29) known as Yasin, son of Mohammad Azam, Navid Perki (28) son of Mohammad, Saleh Perki, all residents of Saravan and Zahid Perki (29) son of Dur Khan from Sib Soran area of Saravan.
These individuals were shot by Iranian forces on November 11, 2024, in the Khomeini Street area near the entrance of Saravan City. They were targeted by Iranian forces without warning or stopping the vehicle.
According to initial reports, two of the passengers were immediately shot and killed, and the remaining passengers were detained and taken to an unknown location.
After 113 days, it was revealed that all the victims had been killed by Iranian occupation forces on the day of the incident, with their bodies forcibly disappeared and secretly kept during this time.
The families of the victims emphasised that no contact had been made with them by Iranian security agencies, and the location where the victims had been held was unknown.
The funeral procession and burial of the four Baloch citizens were held last night with a gathering of family members and residents.
Their bodies were buried without washing, under Islamic martyr rites. This act symbolised the families and local community’s protest against how the victims were killed and disappeared.
