Pakistani Security Forces Extra judicially Kill Five Forcibly Disappeared Baloch Individuals

QUETTA: The bodies of five Baloch individuals, who had been forcibly disappeared by Pakistani authorities, were recently found in different areas of Balochistan. Four of the bodies were discovered in the Shaban area of Quetta, and one was found in Awaran district. All five victims had previously been abducted by state authorities.
The individuals who were recently extra judicially killed by Pakistani security forces include Hameedullah Baloch a resident of Khuzdar, whose body was discovered in Awaran; Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Baloch and Zubair Ahmed Baloch, both from Gidar, Soorab, whose bodies were found in Shaban, Quetta and Shahzaib Baloch and Naeem Baloch, residents of Dasht Kambila, Mastung, whose bodies were also discovered in Shaban, Quetta.
Pakistani authorities have claimed that all five individuals were terrorists who were killed in encounters with security forces. However, their families and local communities have refuted these claims, asserting that the victims had been abducted by Pakistani forces months before their deaths. These killings have raised serious concerns regarding extrajudicial executions, with the Baloch people being repeatedly branded as terrorists and enemies of the state, only to be executed in staged encounters.
This incident is not an isolated one. The Pakistani forces, especially the intelligence agencies, have carried out the abduction and extrajudicial killing of thousands of its citizens, with many found dead after being forcibly disappeared. These actions by Pakistani security forces, often carried out in collaboration with affiliated elements, are seen as part of an ongoing pattern of abuse against the Baloch people.
