Balochistan: BLA Claims Responsibility for Two Attacks on FC in Kalat

SHAAL (QUETTA): The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has accepted responsibility for two separate attacks on Frontier Corps (FC) personnel in the Mangocher area of Kalat district, resulting in the deaths of four FC members and injuries to another.

According to a statement issued by BLA spokesperson Azad Baloch, the group’s fighters targeted FC personnel on September 23, opening fire on a patrol unit stationed in Mangocher city.

The BLA claims that three FC personnel were killed in the attack.

This was the second such incident reported in the area in recent days.

The BLA also claimed responsibility for a similar attack on September 21, in which its fighters attacked an FC outpost built on top of a college building in Mangocher.

According to the statement, one FC personnel was killed and another injured in that attack.

The BLA has been involved in a decades-long armed insurgency seeking independence for Balochistan and frequently targets Pakistani security forces and state infrastructure.
