Balochistan: BLA Accepts Responsibility for Deadly Bomb Attack on FC Patrol

SHAAL (QUETTA):  The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has taken responsibility for a remote-controlled bomb attack on Frontier Corps (FC) personnel in the Nawano area of Zamran, resulting in the death of two FC soldiers.

According to a statement released by BLA spokesperson Azad Baloch, the attack took place on October 6 at approximately 1:00 PM, when BLA fighters targeted a patrolling team of the Pakistani paramilitary force using a remote-controlled explosive device.

The group stated that two FC personnel were killed instantly in the blast. The BLA described the attack as part of its ongoing armed resistance against Pakistani state forces, vowing that such operations will continue until the establishment of a “free and independent Balochistan.”

“Our attacks of this nature will continue until the establishment of a free and independent Balochistan,” said the spokesperson in the statement.

The Baloch Liberation Army is one of several pro-liberation groups active in Balochistan, where tensions between Baloch pro-freedom armed organisations and Pakistani security forces have persisted for decades. The region has long been the site of insurgency, counterinsurgency operations and human rights abuses.
