Balochistan: Pakistani Forces Disappeared Four Men and Killed them in Custody

SHAAL (QUETTA) October 1, 2025: In a grim escalation of violence and repression in Balochistan, four Baloch men who were forcibly disappeared on October 1 by Pakistani forces have been found dead the following morning, their bodies were riddled with bullets.

The extrajudicial killings are being widely condemned as part of a growing campaign of enforced disappearances, targeted killings, and staged encounters by Pakistani forces and army-backed death squads across the region.

Among the victims was Janzeb Baloch, a labourer from Babbar Shoor, Pasni, in Gwadar district. He was abducted by personnel of the Frontier Corps (FC) on September 28, 2025. His body was discovered on October 1 in Uthal, Balochistan, three days after his disappearance.

The other three victims, Quddous Baloch, Neik Saal, and Nizar Arz Muhammad, were all abducted on October 1, 2025, from Buleda, and killed within hours. Their bullet-riddled bodies were recovered the same day from the Sorap Dam area of Buleda, district Kech in Balochistan.

Quddous Baloch, son of Umaid Baloch and a resident of Gardank, Buleda, was a driver involved in cross-border trade. He was abducted by Pakistani forces on October 1 and found dead the next morning.

Neik Saal, also a driver and resident of Gardank, was forcibly disappeared alongside Quddous and Nizar. His body was found with theirs in Sorap Dam, marking yet another case of extrajudicial execution.

Nizar Arz Muhammad, from Jahin, Tehsil Paroom, Panjgur, was similarly involved in cross-border trade. He was abducted by army-backed death squads from Alandhoor in Buleda on October 1 and killed within hours.

These coordinated abductions and killings have fuelled growing fears of a renewed campaign of state violence in Balochistan, where reports of enforced disappearances and extrajudicial executions have sharply risen in recent weeks.

Rights groups and local activists say that Pakistani security forces and state-backed criminal gangs are systematically targeting civilians under the guise of counterinsurgency.

Local residents and families of the victims have called for justice and an independent investigation into the cold-blooded, state-sanctioned executions.

As the Pakistani state aggressions in Balochistan continues to escalate, with enforced disappearances, target killings and staged encounters becoming a tragic routine, the silence of Pakistan’s federal institutions and lack of accountability only deepen the wounds of Balochistan already subjected to marginalisation and violence.
