In their speeches, the speakers expressed deep sorrow over the deaths of Zubair and Nisar Jan, calling them fearless and principled activists who dedicated their lives to justice, equality, and the fundamental rights of the Baloch people. Zubair Baloch, in particular, was praised for his peaceful activism and efforts to raise awareness among Baloch students regarding issues such as enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings and state repression.
Participants condemned Zubair Baloch’s killing, terming it an “extrajudicial murder” and rejecting the official state narrative. They described his death as part of a deliberate effort to suppress dissent and silence the voices of those demanding justice in Balochistan.
Tributes were also paid to Nisar Jan Baloch, who was remembered for his steadfast commitment to nationalism, unity, and social justice. Speakers hailed his sacrifice as a symbol of resistance in the face of continued oppression.
In a joint appeal issued at the conclusion of the reference, participants urged Baloch students, political workers, and human rights defenders to carry forward the mission of the fallen activists. They called for raising voices against state violence and continuing the struggle for the rights of the Baloch people.
The gathering concluded with a unified demand for an immediate end to enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings in Balochistan.
Speakers pledged that the sacrifices of Zubair Baloch and Nisar Jan Baloch would not be forgotten and that their legacy would continue to inspire future generations in the ongoing struggle for justice and dignity.
