FBM Holds Protest in Germany to Mark Anniversary of Iranian Occupation

Hanover, November 11: The German branch of the Free Balochistan Movement (FBM) staged a protest in Hanover on Tuesday to mark the anniversary of the 1928 occupation of western part of Balochistan by Iranian forces. The demonstration was part of an ongoing international campaign aimed at raising awareness about the political repression and human rights violations faced by the Baloch people under Iranian and Pakistani rule.

FBM activists and supporters gathered in the city centre carrying banners and placards calling for Baloch independence and international intervention. The event featured speeches by FBM members Naveed Baloch, Abu Bakar Baloch, Hassan Azizi, Ashfaq Baloch, and Behzad Baloch, as well as Ahwazi activist Jamal Al-Ahwazi and South Azerbaijani activist Alihan Beyoglu.

Speakers condemned the continued “occupation and marginalisation” of non-Persian nations under Iranian rule. Drawing parallels between the struggles of the Baloch, Ahwazi, and Azerbaijani peoples, they called on international human rights organisations to address “systematic repression and colonisation” by Iran.

“The Baloch nation has suffered under Iranian and Pakistani occupation for nearly a century,” one FBM representative said. “We urge the international community to recognise the Baloch people’s right to independence, and sovereignty.”

The protest in Hanover is part of a wider series of FBM-organised demonstrations across Europe. These events aim to highlight the “illegal division and occupation” of Balochistan, and to build global support for the Baloch people’s national cause.

The FBM reiterated its commitment to peaceful activism and international advocacy to bring global attention to the situation in Balochistan and to seek solidarity from other oppressed nations and global institutions.
