Baloch Students Council Islamabad Holds Peace Walk on International Human Rights Day
Islamabad: The Baloch Students Council (BSC) Islamabad organised a Peace Walk on Wednesday at the National Press Club to mark International Human Rights Day, calling attention to ongoing human rights violations in Balochistan.
Participants marched with placards and banners, saying that the event was meant to amplify the voices of families who have long demanded truth, accountability and the safe return of missing loved ones.
Organisers said the walk was a symbolic reminder that their concerns will not fade until meaningful action is taken.
“Our presence on the streets is a clear message: we will not remain silent in the face of repression and injustice,” the BSC stated.
According to the council, each step taken during the walk represented the unresolved struggles of countless affected families in Balochistan.
The BSC emphasised that their movement remains peaceful but firm. “Our struggle is peaceful, but our commitment is unwavering,” the statement read, adding that the group will continue to oppose policies and tactics that threaten the security and survival of the Baloch people.
The Peace Walk concluded with renewed calls for attention from national and international human rights bodies, as participants urged authorities to address longstanding grievances and ensure protection of fundamental rights across Balochistan.
