FBM Germany to Mark International Human Rights Day With Seminar on Abuses in Balochistan

DÜSSELDORF, Germany:  The German branch of the Free Balochistan Movement (FBM) has announced that it will host a seminar in Düsseldorf on Saturday, 6 December, to spotlight ongoing human rights violations in “occupied Balochistan,” referring to regions under the control of Pakistan and Iran.

Timed to coincide with the week of International Human Rights Day, the event aims to draw global attention to systematic abuses, including enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and the suppression of political and cultural rights. Organisers say the seminar will document these violations, amplify the voices of victims and survivors and urge the international community to take concrete steps toward accountability.

According to the FBM, the seminar will bring together activists, researchers and members of the Baloch diaspora, along with human rights defenders and civil society representatives. Discussions will focus on the current humanitarian situation in Balochistan and strategies to mobilise global action.

In its announcement, the FBM issued an open invitation to individuals and groups “committed to justice, democracy and human dignity,” emphasising that broad participation is crucial for strengthening international awareness and supporting the Baloch nation’s struggle for rights and Freedom.
