Balochistan: BLA Claims Responsibility for Multiple Attacks
Shaal, Balochistan: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks carried out across different parts of Balochistan between January 20 and January 24, according to the group’s spokesperson, Azad Baloch.
In a statement released to the media, the BLA said its fighters targeted a construction project in the Pazha area of Kohlu on January 20 at around noon, saying that the project was linked to the “exploitative interests” of the ‘occupying state’ Pakistan. The BLA claimed that machinery belonging to the construction company was set on fire and rendered unusable during the attack.
In a separate incident, the BLA stated that its fighters carried out an attack on January 23 in Hub area of Balochistan. According to the statement, machinery installed at a telecommunications tower near Duroji Road was set ablaze. The group said that the tower was being used for surveillance purposes.
The third incident was reported from Turbat, where the BLA said that on January 24, 2026, its fighters attacked a Pakistani security forces’ camp in the Heronk area of Kech district using automatic weapons. According to the BLA statement, the attack resulted in both human and material losses for Pakistani forces. It further added that a surveillance tower inside the camp was also targeted, disabling the cameras installed on it.
The Baloch Liberation Army accepted responsibility for all three attacks in its statements.
Pro-freedom Baloch militant groups frequently target security forces, infrastructure projects, and installations they allege are linked to state control and surveillance.
