BLA Accepts Responsibility for Two Attacks, Warns Against 14 August Events

QUETTA: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has issued a warning that any events associated with Pakistan’s Independence Day on 14 August in occupied Balochistan will be targeted.

The BLA spokesperson, Azad Baloch, in its media statement, said that the Baloch nation has rejected Pakistan’s purported Independence Day and urged the Baloch people, as well as other citizens of Balochistan, to avoid these celebrations for their safety.

According to BLA,  the Pakistani state enforces these Independence Day celebrations in Balochistan through military force, which is against the wishes of the Baloch people.

The BLA describe these events, conducted with military backing, as a failed attempt to mislead the world regarding the situation in Balochistan.

The organization has warned Baloch individuals, including police or local employees of the Pakistani government, to avoid participating in these events, even if they are pressured or coerced by the Pakistani army or intelligence agencies.

The BLA stated that its fighters could target these events anywhere in Balochistan.

Attacks on Pakistani Forces in Quetta and Mach

The BLA has also claimed responsibility for two recent attacks on Pakistani security forces.

On August 11, at 10 pm, BLA fighters hurled a hand grenade at a Frontier Corps (FC) outpost at Road in Quetta’s Sariab area.

The attack resulted in injuries to three FC personnel, and the BLA has accepted responsibility for the incident.

Additionally, on August 8, at 9 pm, the BLA attacked a police station in the Mach area of Balochistan with a hand grenade.

The organization warned local police to refrain from acting against the Baloch national cause in alignment with the Pakistani army’s operations.

The BLA has taken responsibility for this attack as well.
