Balochistan: BLA Ambush Pakistani Forces Convoy in Buleda
SHAAL (QUETTA): The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has accepted responsibility for an ambush on a three-vehicle convoy of Pakistani security forces in the Buleda area of Balochistan, adding that several personnel were injured in the attack.
In a statement issued by its spokesperson, Azad Baloch, the group said its fighters targeted a security forces patrol on October 19 in the Korposht area of Alandur, Buleda.
According to the statement, BLA fighters took up positions at around 4 p.m. and attacked the convoy using rocket launchers and automatic weapons. The group maintained that several security personnel were injured during the assault.
The BLA further said that the security forces withdrew from the area by driving away in their vehicles rather than engaging in a prolonged confrontation. The organisation said its fighters subsequently returned safely to their hideouts.
The BLA said its armed campaign would continue with greater intensity until the complete independence of Balochistan and the withdrawal of Pakistani forces from the region.
