Balochistan: Military offensives continue in Awaran and Quetta, 4 killed in Kolwah
QUETTA: At least four Baloch youth have been killed during Pakistani forces air strikes and ground offensives in Kolwah area of Awaran on Saturday.
According to details, Pakistani forces started fresh offensives on Friday in Kennichi Chumbar region in Kolwah district Awaran Balochistan.
The ground forces were backed by gunship helicopters which opened indiscriminate shelling and firing on the residents killing at least four people on spot and injuring many others.
The latest victims of Pakistani state brutalities have been named as Shakir Shad son of Yar Mohammad resident of Kennichi Kolwah, Hasil son of Yar Mohammad resident of Kennichi Kolwah, Sadiq son of Sobain resident of Kennichi Kolwah and Majeed son of Zarai resident of Kolwahi Bazar Aapsar.
Social media activists reported that two of the victims were members of BSO-Azad, one was a member of Baloch National Movement.
Emerging reports from Awaran also says that Pakistani forces have abducted around 20 Baloch women and children during Awaran military attacks.
Women have been beaten with gun butts, belts and terrorised by Pakistani forces during the search operations.
Meanwhile, Pakistani forces offensives continue in different areas of Quetta including Killi Deba and surrounding regions. Residents complained that Pakistani forces have beaten up women and took their picture during the ongoing offensives.
Several children and women have also been arrested and shifted to army camps in Quetta. Some people among arrested have been released later, however, most them were still being held until the filing of this report.
