Six pro-freedom Baloch activists killed in Kandahar attack
KANDAHAR: At least six Baloch men including Aslam Baloch were killed in a suicide attack in Afghanistan’s Kandahar province on Tuesday (25 December).
According to details, a suicide bomber blew himself up near the gathering of Baloch activists, as a result, six persons including Aslam Baloch and his five friends were killed.
A spokesman of Interior Affairs Ministry has told the Tolo News that, “A number of civilians were killed as a result of the suicide attack in Aino Mina Township. They are six people and two others were wounded. It is said that a number of Baloch nationals were among those martyred.’
Aslam Baloch was one of the well-known Baloch freedom fighters who has been part of the armed resistance from past more than 20 years.
The others killed with Aslam have been named as Sardaro aka Taju Baloch, Karim Marri aka Raheem Baloch, Akhtar Baloch aka Rostum, Sangat Freed Baloch and Sangat Sadiq Baloch.
It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan ISI and its proxies have previously also attacked houses of Baloch refugees and killed several Baloch in Afghanistan.
The Baloch refugees on several occasions have requested for UN protection or resettlement in other safer countries but the UN has not taken any concrete steps for their protection so far.
