Balochistan Enforced Disappearances: Several people abducted by Pakistani forces
QUETTA: Pakistani security forces continue to arrest and disappear Baloch people from different areas of Balochistan. Even though the government claimed to have release 200 people but local sources reported more people have been disappeared than freed.
On January 23 Pakistani forces raided Eye Hospital in Turbat area city of district Kech and abducted one person.
The victim has been identified as Waheed a resident of Gwargo area of Panjgur Balochistan.
A day earlier on 22 January, Pakistan FC and security agencies have carried out raids in district Khuzdar Balochistan and abducted five people including two brothers.
Sources reported that FC, Para-military forces and intelligence agencies have abducted Khair Mohammad son of Mahmood and Yasin son of Mohammad Hashim from Badrang Greshag area in Khuzdar.
Moreover, two brothers namely Karim Jan and Gohar Khan were abducted from Kocha Greshag region in Khuzdar.
Separately, another man was abducted from Daira Kumbi area of Mashkay in district Awaran Balochistan.
The victim has been named as Abdul Majeed son of Abdul Karim.
Also, on 22 January Pakistan forces abducted four persons from district Sibbi (Sewi), Balochistan.
Two of the victims have been named as Jumma Domki and Hairdeen Domki whereas the identity of the other two men could not be ascertained immediately.
In Dera Bugti, Pakistan forces carried out offensives in Zainkoh, Gwandoi and surrounding areas of Sui and abducted two men as well as set several houses on fire on 22 January.
The abducted men have been named as Jano son of Shah Bakhsh and Lal Mohammad son of Noora Bugti.
Meanwhile, in Quetta, the protest camp of families of Baloch missing persons from the platform of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons continue to grow as more relatives joined the campaign against enforced-disappearances.
On Thursday families of Bakhtiyar Baloch abducted on 13 February 2015 from Panjgur, Zaheer Baloch abducted on 13 April 2015 from Hub Chowki and Zahoor Ahmad Langove son of Khair Bakhsh Langove resident of Kalat abducted on 29 September 2013 have joined the protest camp and registered the cases of the abducted relatives.
The family of Jameel Ahmad abducted on 29 April 2013 have also joined the protest camp of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons.
Asma Baloch the daughter of Jameel Ahamd Baloch has appealed for her father’s recovery and said that if he is involved in any unlawful activities, he should be presented to a court of law.
She said her father, a farmer by profession, was abducted six years ago and she contacted all local elders, elected representatives and other responsible personalities but no one heard her plea.
