Balochistan: Covid-19 cases on the rise on both sides of Goldsmid Line
QUETTA: A further 61 cases of Coronavirus in Balochistan have resulted in the total number of people affected with Coronavirus 3468 while 41 people have reportedly died.
According to the data released by the Balochistan Health Department, corona continues to spread locally in Balochistan.
In Balochistan, the number of patients has reached 3468; however, the actual number of people affected could not be confirmed due to lack of test kits.
So far, 993 patients of Corona have recovered in Eastern part of [Pakistan Occupied] Balochistan while 41 people have lost their lives.
The situation in the Western part of [Iranian Occupied] Balochistan also remains critical since the Iranian regime declared Balochistan as ‘Khaak-e-Safe’ or safe zone.
The president of Iranshahr University of Medical Sciences told the Tasnim news agency, “Following the increase in the number of people infected with Coronavirus in Iranshahr and Chabahar, these cities were classified as red. Commercial and service centres in Chabahar Free Zone will be closed from May 22 until further notice.”
Mohammad-Akbar Chakerzehi, the governor of Khash, told Fars 21 May 2020, “The situation in the city is not normal. Due to the significant increase in the number of people infected with Coronavirus, the Khash market will be closed for one week beginning Friday, May 22, 2020, except for the essential businesses that provide food.”
