Whereabouts of a 75 old Baloch man remain unknown after Pakistani forces abducted him

The family members of an aged Baloch man, abducted on 24 May, 2015 from Parom area of Panjgur, have expressed concerns about his safety and wellbeing on Thursday.

According to details Haji Fazal Karim, 75, was abducted while on his way from Parom to Panjgur on 24 May 2015.

Sources close to Mr Karim reported that he along with his wife was going to Panjgur to visit his relatives when personnel of Frontier Corps (FC) stopped the vehicle they travelling with and asked them to dismount.

“They harassed Haji Fazal Karim’s wife and beaten up the old man on spot before putting him into another car and driving off,” eye-witnesses reported on condition of anonymity.

The aged Baloch is reportedly a heart patient and had recently returned from Karachi to his native village of Parom in Pangur Balochistan.

Meanwhile the Pakistani military and FC, dramatically, brought another aged Baloch man, Anwar Sahib Khan, at Gwadar Press Club and forced him to release a press statement against his own son and Baloch freedom movement.

The Balochi language poet and play writer, Anwar Sahib Khan, was abducted along with his son on 2nd June from Pasni Balochistan.

“The FC (Frontier Corps) raided my house in Pasni and arrested me and my son. It has been found that my son has affiliations with terrorists – I appeal my son and other youth to work for Balochistan’s development and prosperity,” Mr Sahib Khan said in a statement release in presence of Military and FC.

He also praised Dr Malik, CM Balochistan, and Pakistan FC (Frontier Corps) for brining ‘revolutionary’ changes in Balochistan.

The Baloch analysts, however, believe that Mr Answar Sahib Khan Baloch was coerced by the Pakistani forces to release a statement in their favour and condemn the Baloch freedom movement.

It is pertinent to mention that torture, coercion and forced confessions are common in Pakistan where Pakistani forces use different mediums of torture to force people to confess crimes that they have not committed.
