 Balochistan: Abduction of Baloch activist on rise as seven more whisked away

QUETTA: Pakistani forces have abducted seven people from different areas of Balochistan in past forty-eight hours including a software engineer from Pasni on Wednesday evening.

According to details, Pakistani forces attacked a wedding party in the coastal town of Pasni Balochistan and arrested at least five people including a software engineer.

The other four people were released later but security forces took away Cheraagh Baloch son of Ibrahim. Cheraagh Baloch studied computer software engineering from Moscow, Russia.

In another incident, Pakistani forces abducted another Baloch youth from Pasni whose identity was not ascertained at the time of filing of this report.

Earlier on Tuesday, Pakistani forces abducted five people from Awaran and Dera Bugti Balochistan.

Local sources reported that Pakistani forces abducted two people from in front of UBL Bank in Awaran Bazar. The victims were named as Asim son of Aslam Mirwani and Wali Mohammad son of Musafir, residents of Malaar area in Awaran Balochistan.

Separately, the Baloch Republican Party Media Cell reported that Pakistan army and their local death squads have carried out a door-to-door search operation in Zain Loti area of Dera Bugti and abducted at least three people.

The abducted people in Dera Bugti have been named as Sher Mohammad son Hazor Bugti, Gabhro son of Jada Bugti and Nabi Dad Bugti.

The whereabouts of all the abducted persons remained unknown until the filing of this report.
