 Balochistan: Pakistan FC check post attacked in Kahan, several Pakistani troops killed

QUETTA: The Sarmachaars of the Baloch Liberation Army attacked a Frontier Corps (FC) check post in Hathpod area of Kahan on Sunday evening.

The BLA spokesperson, Azad Baloch, informed media outlets that the FC check post was attacked with automatic weapons. ‘The gun battle continued for forty minutes in which several soldiers of Pakistani forces have been killed and wounded.’

Azad Baloch said in his statement that Pakistani forces have been carrying out military offensives in the region from past four days.

‘Large numbers of Pakistan military have surrounded Kohistan Marri region from different sides. The ground troops are being back by gunship helicopters,’ he added.

He said the aim of these operations was to pave way for oil exploration in the Kahan’s Bambor and other areas.

Currently, forces [Pakistani military] are trying to start excavation work in Bambor’s Sher Barag and Sher Wadh areas in Kahan.

‘We will not allow the exploitation of our resources by Pakistan and our attacks against Pakistani forces will continue,’ Azad Baloch warned.

He said the armed activities of Baloch resistance organisation [BLA] will continue till the Baloch national liberation and regaining the sovereignty of an independent Baloch state.
