Balochistan: Pakistani forces conducted offensives in Dasht, abducted five persons

QUETTA: Pakistan forces have carried out raids in district Kech Balochistan on Saturday and abducted at least five persons.

According to details, the forces conducted offensive raids in Jattani Bazaar area in Dasht Balochistan and carried out a house-to-house search.

Local sources reported that Pakistani forces abducted at least five people during Saturday’s offensive.
The victims have been named as Rahim Bakhsh son of Balach, Iqbal son of Miya Mohammad, Abdul Ghani son of Imam Bakhsh and Abdul Karim son of Abdul Rasool.

It is pertinent to mention that few dozen abducted Baloch have recently been released but more people including women and children have been arrested and disappeared.

Meanwhile, the Home Minister of Balochistan, Ziaullah Langove, in a statement on Saturday admitted that at least 72 previously abducted persons have been released in past few months. He, however, failed to inform the people of Balochistan about the abductors of these ‘released’ people.

The government have been in a continuous denial about the abduction and enforced-disappearances in Balochistan but the pro-freedom Baloch and Balochistan based HR Organisation have always blamed Pakistan’s intelligence agencies, military, FC and other forces for enforced-disappearances in Balochistan.

The latest recovery and release of previously abducted persons some of whom were abducted more than five years ago contradicts governments denial about enforced-disappearances in Balochistan.
