Will Iran Secure Further Diplomatic Concessions?

Iran has a rich history of diplomatic immunity. Despite riots, hostages and deceptions Tehran has gained a lot from global powers and contributed less to regional socio-political and economic stability. No plans have worked for regional prosperity because the revolutionary goon regime has spread the anti-Jewish narrative in the Middle East by enacting several powerful proxy forces for Tehran’s haughty and derisive political designs to contain the region. Once again after raining hundreds of drones and artilleries Tehran is calling for restraint through the United Nations forum, another diplomatic concession, because it fears conventional war, a country famous for its multifaceted political deception throughout history.

Since the 1979 revolution, Tehran has succeeded in economic and political embargoes through the ‘Governmental hostages Policy’ and penetrating proxies to meddle in the affairs of neighbouring countries in the Middle East for Tehran’s gains. After when the embassy of the United States of America was stormed in 1979 President Carter issued Executive Order 12170 ordering a freeze on an estimated 6 billion dollars Iranian assets and official bank deposits in the United States. The failure of ‘Operation Eagle Claw’- a mission to rescue American hostages – due to a sandstorm and the killing of eight servicemen was called by Tehran “Divine Intervention” a rhetoric and narrative that Tehran built against Jews and Christians in its widespread literature, the reflection of which is still prevalence in a country like Pakistan.

Iran’s ‘hostage Policy’ remained a diplomatic win despite the broken commitment of Tehran in 1981 when Washington and Tehran agreed to the Algiers Accord to end the hostage crisis. The accord was a trap when the USA agreed to release frozen assets of Iran and not to intervene in Tehran’s internal affairs in exchange for fifty-two American hostages. The accord also paved the way for international arbitration at the new Iran-US claims tribunal in the Hague. Despite the diplomatic immunity and legal grounds for its lawful claims Tehran took the expansionist policy.

In 1982 it supported the formation of Hezbollah with its 1000 Revolutionary Guards and avoided confrontation with Israel but through proxies. Likewise, on 23, Oct-1983 Iran aided the suicide bombing at the barracks of US maritime peacekeepers in Lebanon which killed 241 U.S military personnel. This was the time for the United States of America to punish Iran when Reagan’s administration put Iran on the State Department’s list of ‘government supporting terrorism’ despite this Tehran was left unchecked until it grew as a monster for the Middle East, Western World and America. How a state supporting terrorism was left to breed more terrorists knowing the fact that America has a history of punishing terrorists popular example of this is Al Qaeda but Iran is still enjoying diplomatic immunity despite being declared as a governing terrorist why? The reason is simply that America and the West have trusted Iran but the latter has always benefited from diplomatic immunity.

Following the ‘policy of hostages’ Tehran has always betrayed the global powers. In 1984 Iran supported militia in Beirut against Reagan’s administration’s aforementioned decree and began abducting American hostages, including CIA station chief William Buckley who died in captivity followed by another American writer Edward Tracy hostage in Oct 1986 in Lebanon. But in 1985 Washington started diplomatic efforts and in 1986 when President Ronald Reagan signed a specific finding to permit negotiations with Iran on hostages and to help promote ‘moderate Iran’ more Americans were taken hostages in Lebanon along with Western Europeans. The history of kidnapping and hostage-taking are ‘Iran’s foreign policy’ interests, which are designed to extract concessions from Western countries including America. Evidently, on 7, April 1987 parliamentary speaker Rafsanjani said that Iran would try to mediate the release of American hostages in Lebanon if the United States of America showed “Good Will” by un-freezing Iranian assesses in the USA, on May 13 the USA returned 450 million dollars frozen assets and in 3, Nov1989 USA returned 567 million dollars of frozen assets.

Again in Sep 2023 Iran used the same mantra of releasing five American hostages in exchange for 6 billion dollars in Iranian assets being held in South Korea. This dangerous policy is now being implemented on international water territories like the Red Sea and the Strait of Hormuz, where global cargo ships are being kept hostages along Staffs for nothing but to blackmail the world for more concessions, if succeeds this time, then entire middle east would be on the mercy of Iran and its Proxies.

The role of the Arab world in preventing the Octopus tentacles.

The Arab world is spending billions of dollars as a defence budget but with each passing time, Iran is spreading its tentacles in Gulf states. The war is between Israel and Iran but hundreds of drones and artilleries crossed the airspace of most Arab countries which is a clear demonstration of the violation of their sovereignty. Tehran wants the war on Arab soil which is inveterate in Arab-Iran historical conflicts.

This economic warfare, the burden of which is being borne by Arab nations, due to suspension of international flights, disruption and disturbance of the supply chain of goods is hurting the economy of Arabs. If today the Gulf states do not consider concrete actions then with dirty politics the octopus will pierce every segment of Arab society.

The fate of Balochistan under Iran and Pakistan’s Occupation.

War or no war is a matter of concern for the Baloch nation which has been fighting both occupiers for decades. No nation has suffered more than that of Baloch from the intruders and economic plunderers of South Asia and the Middle East. The occupied territory of Balochistan under Iran is so vast that it is about the size of Syria and so rich in minerals and natural resources that it is popularly known in Iran as the ‘Paradise of Nature’. Strategically, today Iran is manipulating the occupied territorial water against the globe for its blackmailing and diplomatic concessions.

What should be the role of the international community in supporting the Baloch liberation movement? It is the restoration of the state which was unjustly divided by Britain and global powers. Today Israel, the Arab World and the Western community owe Baloch leader Mr. Hyrbyair Marri who stood tall and alone against the Iran nuclear deal and echoed before the world that “ The deal is with the devil” and the devil is being witnessed by the world in contemporary politics. Hyrbyair Marri’s stand against Iran’s nuclear deal was the emergence of the Baloch nation as a regional power that contributed to popular decision-making and forecasting the politics of the Middle East which is on the brink of inevitable war because of evil Iran. Whatever the fate of the Middle East but Baloch nation and its leader Hyrbyair Marri’s decision is irrevocable that the Baloch will not surrender its demand for a united Balochistan irrespective of the heavy price which the nation has been facing for centuries.
