Meanwhile, the family of a previously abducted Baloch man named, Meer Khan Mohammad Shahwani son of Jumma Khan resident of Kalat Balochistan has appealed for his release.

According to his family sources, Pakistani forces abducted Mr Shahwani on 17 June 2019 from Zehri Noor village of Kalat and shifted him to an unknown place.

His relatives said that despite four months of disappearance he has not been brought to the surface.

“If he has been involved in any illegal activities then he should be presented to a court of law and punished under the law of the land,” his family said.

They further in their statement said, “We are seriously concerned about the well-being and his life at extreme risk. Hence, we appeal to national and international Human rights organisations to play a vital role in the safe recovery of our beloved on humanitarian grounds.”

It is pertinent to mention that pro-freedom Baloch political parties and Balochistan based human rights organisations have been continuously accusing the Pakistani state forces of illegal abductions. They maintain that Pakistani forces have arrested and disappeared more than 20,000 Baloch men, women and children and their whereabouts remain unknown.
