 Balochistan: Pakistani security forces targeted in two different attacks, three killed 10 injured

QUETTA: Baloch pro-freedom Baloch armed groups have targeted Pakistani security forces vehicles in Balochistan’s district Kech and Awaran on Tuesday killing at least three Pakistani officials and wounding ten others.

According to details, a powerful IED explosion targeted a Pakistani security forces’ convoy in Lop area of Peerandar in district Awaran.

As a result, at least three Pakistani security personnel were killed and eight others have been wounded.
The Pakistani forces cordoned off the site of the explosion and shifted their dead and injured official to a nearby hospital.

The hospital sources told media outlets that three officials died on their way to hospital whereas eight others have been wounded the condition of two was described as ‘critical’.

Another two Pakistani security forces personnel have been wounded in a separate attack in Tump area of district Kech.
Sources reported that a military truck in Tump area of Turbat was targeted by in remote-controlled blast due to which at least two officials have been wounded.

The vehicle was heavily damaged in the explosion.

The Balochistan Liberation Front and the Baloch Republican Army have accepted responsibility for the attacks on Pakistan forces in their separate statement released to media.

Gwahram Baloch, a spokesperson of BLF (Balochistan Liberation Front) claimed that fighters from his organisation target a Pakistani forces convoy and killed at least ten soldiers.

However, the Pakistani forces and media sources confirmed that at least three Balochistan Frontier Corps (FC) soldiers were killed and nine sustained injuries after a planted explosive device targeted FC 112 wing in Peeranadar area of Awaran.

The killed FC soldiers were identified as Hawaldar Abdul Rehman, Lance Naik Sakhiullah, Lance Naik Shah Muhammad.

Another pro-freedom Baloch armed group, Baloch Republican Army (BRA) claimed responsibility for the Tump attack.
Sarbaz Baloch, the spokesperson of BRA, said they target a truck of Pakistan military with a remote-controlled blast due to which three Pakistani soldiers were killed and others have been wounded.

However, the Voice of America and other media sources reported that two officials have been wounded in Tump attack whose condition was said to be stable.

The military convoy was going from Tump grid station to a new military checkpoint when it was targeted.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani forces have started military offensives in Peerandar area of Awaran after the IED attack on security forces’ vehicle.

It is pertinent to mention that Pakistani forces have been carrying out offensive in district Awaran from past six days.
The local residents have complained that Pakistani forces mistreated and harassed women and children during their ongoing offensives.
