 Balochistan: A Baloch fighter and two Pakistan soldiers killed in Mach gun battle

QUETTA: A Baloch fighter and two Pakistani soldiers have been killed during a raid and subsequent gun battle near Mach area of Bolan district Balochistan Sunday.

According to details, Pakistani forces carried offensives and raided a base of Baloch fighters in Peeragani region near Machh town in Balochistan.

Consequently, one Baloch fighter and two Pakistani soldiers have been killed as both sides open fire at each other.

The deceased Baloch fighter has been named a Fateh Baloch aka Chairman who, sources reported, has engaged Pakistani forces for two hours to save his other comrades.

The Pakistani media and spokesperson of ISPR has described the offensive as ‘intelligence based operation’ and claimed to have confiscated a heavy cache of arms.

Pakistani forces alleged that the deceased Baloch fighter was involved in blowing up railway line in Mach area on 19 October 2018 and previous attacks on Pakistani forces check posts.

The Baloch armed organisations, however, say that they are fighting against ‘occupying Pakistani forces’ to regain the independence of Balochistan.

The current ongoing phase of Baloch liberation struggle started in year-2000 during which analysts regards as the longest, widespread and more organised than past attempts to free Balochistan from Pakistan’s occupation.
