Free Balochistan Movement cancels its protest amid COVID-19 outbreak in the UK

LONDON: The Free Balochistan Movement UK Branch has announced on Sunday to cancel its 27 March protest in London due to the Coronavirus outbreak in the country.

In a statement released on media, the pro-freedom Baloch political party said that it was adhering to the UK government’s advice to avoid large crowds.

The party in its statement, however, urged its members and appeal the Baloch people to take part in the party’s online #PakistanQuitBalochistan campaign on 27 March 2020.

Earlier the FBM central Media cell in a statement said that 27 March is a black day in the history of Balochistan because Pakistan occupied and forcibly annexed the sovereign Baloch state on 27 March 1948. Hence, the FBM will run a social media campaign on 27 March 2020 to highlight the plight of the Baloch nation.

The Free Balochistan Movement in its statement has appealed the Baloch nation to join the ‘Pakistan Quit Balochistan’ campaign to make the occupying state realise that Baloch nation doesn’t accept the illegal occupation of their land by Pakistan.

Pakistan as foreign invader must understand the popular demand of Baloch nation and withdraw from Balochistan at its earliest.
