 Balochistan: Pakistani forces abducted 10 Baloch in past 4 days

QUETTA: The Pakistani forces have abducted and disappeared at least nine Baloch including two brothers in past four days from different areas of Balochistan.

according to details, the abducted men have been named as Fida son of Mohammad Ali resident of Turbat area in district Kech, Hassam son of Abdul Karim from Panjgur, Hayat, Abid, Jahanzaib, Akram son of Biayan and Sudear son of Yar Mohammad resident of Buleda in district Kech and Obeid son Yousaf and his brother Shoaib son of Yousaf residents of Gwadar Balochistan.
On Tuesday 24 March, Pakistani forces abducted 50-year-old Dilpol son of Yar Mohammad from Hirronk area of district Kech.

It is pertinent to note that Pakistani forces have arrested and disappeared thousands of Baloch youth who continue to languish in illegal detention centres across Balochistan.

Several enforced disappeared Baloch have already been killed in custody and their dead bodies were found dumped on road sides and desolated regions.

Baloch rights activist charge Pakistan of violating its own constitution as the article 10 of Pakistan’s constitution states:

“Every person who is arrested and detained in custody shall be produced before a Magistrate within a period of twenty-four hours of such arrest, excluding the time necessary for the journey from the place of arrest to the Court of the nearest Magistrate, and no such person shall be detained in custody beyond the said period without the authority of a Magistrate.”

The Baloch activists, however, have been in illegal custody of Pakistan’s forces for several years without access to a legal representative or even allowed to contact their family members.

the Baloch social media activists and campaigners say that at a time when the entire world is busy fighting COVID-19 pandemic, Pakistan continues it brutalities in occupied Balochistan.
