 Balochistan: Seven religious preachers quarantined in Chaghai, new centre set up in Kharan

QUETTA: The Local administration in Nokkundi area of Balochistan district Chaghai have quarantined at least seven Islamic preachers on Wednesday.

According to details, the Tablighi Jama’at member – preachers – were sent from Raiwand Punjab for preaching purpose to Balochistan.

sources within the local administration claimed that these people had come from Iran to Punjab and then they were sent from Punjab to Balochistan in January for four months.

They were staying in a mosque in Ghareeb Abad region of Nukkondi when the authorities quarantined them.

It is not clear yet whether they have been tested positive for Coronavirus.

Meanwhile, in Kharan, the Pakistani forces have set up a quarantine centre in a densely populated area in the city’s Hindu Mahalla region.

Residents have shown concerns over this development and saying that it was an extremely dangerous move on part of the government.

Sources told Balochwarna News that most of the people quarantine at that centre are foreigners and since the centre is set up in a busy public place it poses risks to the population.
