 Balochistan: Four men abducted from Dera Bugti, mother of abducted man passes away

QUETTA: The intelligence agencies of Pakistan have abducted and disappeared at least four people from Balochistan’s Dera Bugti district on Wednesday.

According to details, Pakistan military personnel and intelligence agencies carried out offensives in Zain Koh area of and raided several houses. Four people have been abducted during these raids.

The victims have been named as Mengal son of Khair Mohammad Bugti, Gwadari son Khair Mohammad Bugti, Tajoo son of Jong Ali Bugti and Zahoor son of Kohdil Bugti.

It is pertinent to note that in the past few weeks Pakistani forces have abducted dozens of people from Zian Koh area of Dera Bugti. The whereabouts of the abducted men remain known and their family members have not been informed about the cause of their arrest.

Enforced-disappearance in Balochistan is one of the most pressing issues as Baloch pro-freedom political parties and human rights activists say that Pakistani forces have abducted thousands of Baloch.

The disappeared Baloch have no access to legal representatives neither are their family kept informed about their safety and wellbeing.

FarooqMother Also on Wednesday, the aged mother of a previously disappeared Baloch youth has passed away today.

Sources reported the mother of Ghulam Farooq Baloch had been continuously asking for her for three days before she breathed her last.

Farooq was abducted on 2nd June 2015 by Pakistani forces.

“She had been a part of VBMP sit-in protest camp since 2018 with the hope that someday somebody will hear her plea and release her son,” the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons posted on their Facebook page.
