Balochistan: mother appeal for son’s release

QUETTA: The mother of abducted Rashid Hussain Baloch in a passionate video message has asked for her son’s release or to be brought to the surface if he’s done anything wrong.

The aged Baloch mother said that her son was abducted by UAE security agencies in December 2018 and was held incommunicado for six months. She said friends and family members were kept in the dark about his whereabouts and Mr Rashid Hussain was provided legal representation.

She said when her son was extradited to Pakistan the Pakistani national media reported the news of his extradition from UAE to Pakistan but since the Pakistani forces are in denial about his whereabouts and well being.

She said she knocked every door from Quetta to Karachi and spoke to Human Rights Organisation, politicians and whoever she could but nobody has helped her and there is still no information about her son.

She added, “As his mother, I should be allowed to meet Rashid, his lawyer should be allowed to meet him.”

She appealed that her son should be brought to the surface to ease her anxiety and despair.

It is important to note that Amnesty International and other HR organisation have also demanded his release but there is been no response from Pakistan or UAE governments so far.
