 Balochistan: Railway track blown up in Dera Ghazi Khan, BLA accepts responsibility

QUETTA: A bomb blast on the railway track near Quetta Road damaged the track in the early hours of Sunday evening.

According to details, an explosion took place near Gadai Chongi Quetta Road on the track from Dera to Karachi at 5 pm yesterday.

Unknown attacker planted the explosives along the track, no casualties were reported, Pakistani security agencies confirmed to media.

After the incident, DPO Akhtar Farooq, CTD, Railway Police and Bomb Disposal Squad teams reached the spot.

Talking to reporters, the officials said it was an incident of sabotage and that further investigations were underway.

Meanwhile, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) spokesperson Azad Baloch called reporters and accepted the responsibility of blowing up railway track.

He said last night the BLA sarmachaars have blown up a two-foot portion of the railway line in Balochistan’s occupied region by Pakistan’s Punjab province, Dera Ghazi Khan’s, Gadai Chongi near Quetta Road.

He said, “BLA accepts responsibility for this attack.”

He also reiterated that wherever and whenever possible the Baloch fighters will target Pakistani security forces, installations and their exploitative projects.

He warned all those collaborating with the Pakistani army against pro-freedom Baloch forces to stop spying on Baloch fighters.

“The violators of our warning will be responsible for themselves for any possible harm to them in future,” BLA spokesperson Azad Baloch warned.
