 Balochistan: Baloch youth completes five years in Pakistani forces custody

QUETTA: Jameel Ahmad Sarparah, a Baloch youth who was abducted by Pakistani intelligence agencies five years ago, remains in their illegal custody.

according to details, Jameel Ahmad Sarparah son of Mir Abdul Ghani Sarparah, from Kardgap, was abducted five years ago today, July 25, 2015, from his home in Green Town, Sariab Road, Quetta – the capital city of Pakistan occupied Balochistan, by Pakistani intelligence agents.

Mr. Sarparah had completed his MA in Mass Communication from Balochistan University and was posted as Information Officer at Information Department Balochistan after his graduation.

However, at the time of his abduction and disappearance, he was serving as the Governor of Balochistan’s Public Relations Officer.

Before his appointment in the Information Department, he worked as an anchor of the Brahui language program on Radio Pakistan and for two years as a sub-engineer in the Mastung office of the Balochistan Rural Support Program (BRSP) for social and rural development.

The family of Jameel Ahmad Sarparah said has no affiliation with any political or religious organisation.

They appealed for his immediate and safe release on humanitarian grounds.
