 Balochistan: One Pakistan soldier killed, three wounded in Pidarak attack

QUETTA: The pro-freedom Baloch fighters attacked a convoy of the Pakistani army in Turbat’s Pidarak area of district Kech Balochistan on Saturday morning killing one soldier and wounding three others.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has confirmed the ambush on the Pakistani army’s convoy near Turbat and said that the attackers opened fire on security forces during routine patrolling near Pidarak in Kech district, approximately 35 kilometers southeast of Turbat.

“During the exchange of fire, Lance Naik Javed Karim embraced shahadat (martyrdom) while three other soldiers got injured,” the military’s media wing said.

In a similar attack on July 14, three Pakistani soldiers were killed and eight others including an officer were injured in an ambush on their convoy near Gichak valley in Balochistan’s Panjgur district.
