The world must no longer ignore the plight of Baloch nation: Hyrbyair Marri

LONDON: Baloch national leader and head of the Free Balochistan Moment, Hyrbyair Marri, in a series of Tweets, said that the Iranian-occupied Balochistan has been turned into an abattoir for the Baloch people under the oppressive rule of the Persian theocracy.

He added that in the past 5 days, 18 Baloch civilians have been executed by the Iranian regime on trumped-up charges but “the Western world is only focused on Ukraine and the Muslim world is only fixated on Palestine and Kashmir.

“All the while, many nations suffering injustices have been intentionally ignored by the major Human Rights institutions.”

He said that over the past few years, thousands of Baloch have been lynched by Iranian Mullahs. Now is the time to acknowledge and no longer ignore the plight of the Baloch Nation.

In his Tweets, Mr. Marri also used the following hashtag to let the world know that Balochistan is neither Iran nor Pakistan.

 #BalochistanIsNotIran

 #BalochistanIsNotPakistan

The number of Baloch executed in the past week has now risen to 22 and more Baloch have been moved to isolation whose lives are at risk of imminent execution.

It is noteworthy that the growing trend of executions shows that the judicial process and the legal litigation process in their cases have not been conducted fairly and transparently.

According to the families of the prisoners, they were coerced to confess under pressure amid many shortcomings and ambiguity in the cases.

The judiciary has been disregarded and despite these objections, they have been executed.

It is necessary to mention that at the same time with protests across the country, the execution of Baloch citizens has increased significantly.

Baloch activists claim that from 20 August 2022 to 4 May 2023, at least 126 Baloch citizens were executed in different prisons in Iran, whose names and identities have been confirmed.
