Baloch Martyrs Day: Baloch People across the world remember fallen heroes of Balochistan
QUETTA: The Baloch nation across the world and in Balochistan has celebrated the Baloch Martyrs Day with full national zeal and devotion.
According to the details, on Monday, 13th November, Baloch people celebrated the national remembrance day for Baloch Martyrs in different cities, regions and towns of Balochistan. Civil societies of Balochistan and people associated with other schools of thought along with pro-liberation political organisations took part in these events and expressed their devotion and passion for the Baloch martyrs.
Baloch men, women, children and the elderly, regardless of age, gender, and social background and status, lit candles in memory of one of the martyrs, displaying pictures and placards. Along with the exhibition, the participants expressed their feelings and emotions for the Baloch martyrs through speeches and discussions.
Members of The Free Balochistan Movement played an equally important role in organising events in various areas of Balochistan.
It should be noted that 13 November each year, is commemorated as the ‘National Remembrance Day for Baloch Martyrs’ in Balochistan and worldwide including in Europe, America and Afghanistan.
It should be remembered that in the half of the 19th century when the British tried to occupy the independent state of Balochistan, in response, Khan Mir Mehrab Khan and his companions resisted the invaders and preferred martyrdom instead of surrendering to the enemy.
The Baloch pro-freedom parties chose 13 November as Baloch Martyrs Day to remember the bravery, courage and patriotism of Mir Khan and countless other fallen sons and daughters of Balochistan who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of Balochistan.
