 11 Iranian troops killed in attack on Police station

DOZZAP (Zahedan): The Iranian state media has confirmed the killing of 11 military personnel and wounding of several others in an attack on a police station in Rask City in Iranian-Occupied Balochistan.

According to local news groups the Campaign of Baloch activists and Haal Vash news the attack took place late Thursday evening and clashes continued till early morning Friday.

 A Bloch militant group (Jaish-al-Adl or Army of Justice) accepted responsibility for the attack.

The killed Iranian soldiers have been named as Muslim Shojayan, Ehsan Babaei, Pouria Sheikh, Abolfazl Shahryari, Mohammad Hassan Brahui, Alireza Akbar Mazar, Ali Dashtpuri, Hassan Babania, Ahmad Khamri, Majeed Firoznia and Hameed Rezaei.

Several others have reportedly been injured whose names could not be confirmed at the time of filing this news report.

The Iranian authorities of the Islamic Republic claimed that during this attack, two members of Jaish al-Adl forces were killed and another person was arrested wounded.

So far, the Jaish al-Adl militant group has not commented on the deaths and injuries of its forces.

According to Radio Farda, Deputy Governor Alireza Marhamati described it as a “terrorist attack.”

The Jaish Al-ADL is a Baloch militant group that has previously carried out several attacks against Iranian forces including a suicide attack on a bus killing 27 soldiers of Iran’s Pasdaran-e-Inqalab or the revolutionary guards.

The Jaish says its attacks are a reaction to Iran’s state brutalities against the Baloch people in the Western part of Balochistan currently under the occupation of Iran.

Western Part of Balochistan has been in turmoil since the bloody Friday attack in Zahedan where more than 100 peaceful protesters were brutally killed by Iran’s special forces. Iran has also recently intensified executions of Baloch prisoners including political activists who took part in peaceful protests.

International rights bodies including Amnesty International confirmed Iran’s state brutalities against Baloch people and other political prisoners recently detained.

In its latest report, Amnesty reported that female prisoners including those from Balochistan have been raped and sexually assaulted by Iran’s force in prisons.
