Balochistan: 10 Pakistani Military Personnel and two BLA fighters Killed in Chagai Clash
SHAAL (QUETTA): The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) spokesperson, Azad Baloch, in a statement issued on Tuesday said that 10 Pakistani military personnel were killed during a prolonged clash in the Doganan area of Chaghai district on October 18. The group also reported that two brave BLA fighters sacrificed their lives for the Baloch Homeland.
According to the BLA’s statement, the clash began at approximately 6 a.m. The BLA said the fighting continued until approximately 7 p.m., lasting around 13 hours.
The BLA said Pakistani military forces launched an attack on its positions and its fighters returned fire using light and heavy weapons while attempting to defend their positions and nearby civilian communities.
The BLA added that Pakistani forces suffered significant personnel and equipment losses during the engagement and subsequently called in air support. The statement also highlighted that the military used artillery, long-range mortar fire and drones during the fighting.
The group further added that Pakistani forces indiscriminately shelled civilian-populated areas.
The group identified its two fighters who lost their lives in the clash as Javed, also known as Malang, and Kamal Khan, also known as Saddam Baloch.
Fighting with exceptional valour, both sons of the soil defended their fellow fighters and the base until the very last drop of their blood. Among these fearless and noble sarmachars, Sangat Javed alias Malang was martyred after being struck by a drone strike
According to the statement, Javed, who was from Dalbandin, joined the BLA in 2025 and participated in several clashes with Pakistani forces.
Kamal Khan, who was from Narmuk, had been associated with the BLA since 2022, according to the statement. The group said he had been active in several areas of Balochistan, including Bolan, Nagaho, Sooran, Narmuk, Manguchar and Kalat.
The BLA, in its statement, said that sangat Kamal Khan alias Saddam from Narmuk fought valiantly alongside Javed Baloch, ensuring the safety of their fellow fighters. During this prolonged battle, their ammunition ran out; Adhering to the philosophy of the “last bullet,” he chose martyrdom with pride rather than surrendering to the enemy.
The incident comes amid the continuing armed conflict between Pakistani security forces and Baloch pro-freedom militant groups seeking independence for Balochistan.
In its statement, the BLA reiterated its commitment to continuing its armed campaign until the complete independence of Balochistan and the withdrawal of Pakistani forces from Baloch land.
