Balochistan: Three Killed in Pakistani Airstrike in Panjgur

QUETTA: At least three people were killed this morning, December 13, when the Pakistani military launched an airstrike on the Sabz Koh area of Panjgur, located near the border with Saravan in Iranian-Occupied Balochistan.

The attack, which occurred around 8 AM, involved the use of military helicopters and drones, and multiple explosions were heard in the region as a result.

Local sources in Panjgur reported that after the helicopters entered the Sabz Koh area, several large explosions followed. However, further details regarding the scale of the damage and the full extent of casualties remain unclear.

The Pakistani military has reportedly confirmed the deaths of at least three individuals in the attack but has not provided specific information on whether the victims were civilians or members of armed groups operating in the area.

This latest airstrike follows a similar attack on November 6, 2024, when both Pakistan and Iran conducted a joint airstrike on the Sabz Koh area. Such airstrikes have become a recurring issue in the region, raising significant concerns among local residents.

The Sabz Koh area, located on the artificial border between Pakistani and Iranian-Occupied Balochistan, has long been a site of military offensives targeting armed Baloch resistance factions.

In previous airstrikes, several Baloch civilians, including women and children, were killed while residing on both sides of the Goldsmid Lineā€”the arbitrary border that separates Eastern and Western parts of Balochistan.
