Five Missing in Balochistan, Teacher Forcibly Disappeared in Lahore
KHUZDAR/PANJGUR, BALOCHISTAN: Reports of enforced disappearances continue to emerge from Balochistan, with at least five individuals missing from different districts, while a schoolteacher has also been forcibly disappeared in Lahore, Punjab.
According to Balochistan local media reports, a schoolteacher from Balochistan has been abducted in Punjab. On March 7, 2026, Ustad Abdul Wahab Baloch, a resident of Naal Gresha, in district Khuzdar, was forcibly disappeared in Lahore.
According to reports, he was present in Block D of Faisal Town when he went missing.
Abdul Wahab Baloch works as a teacher and has been serving as a remuneration instructor at Mir Ghous Bakhsh Bizenjo Public High School Naal and Inter College Naal.
In another similar incident in Panjgur, two brothers were abducted at gunpoint near the New Complex area of Panjgur by armed men travelling in vehicles. The missing men have been identified as Abdullah and Abdul Latif sons of Ghulam Muhammad and residents of Tar Office. Witnesses say the armed individuals forced the brothers into a vehicle and took them to an undisclosed location. Their whereabouts remain unknown.
In a separate incident, two more brothers were reportedly detained during a late-night raid in the Nal area of Khuzdar district. Family members say Pakistani security forces entered their home at around 2 a.m. on March 3, 2026, and took Muhammad Amir son of Juma Khan, along with his brother Liaquat Ali, into custody.
Relatives state that Muhammad Amir had been working as a labourer in Saudi Arabia, while Liaquat Ali runs a shop locally. Since their detention, the family says no information has been provided about their location.
Another case has been reported from the Prom area of Panjgur, where a 42-year-old labourer identified as Dilip son of Muhammad, was allegedly detained by unidentified individuals on February 26, 2026. His family says he has not been seen since the incident and they remain deeply concerned for his safety.
Families of the missing individuals have urged authorities to either present them before a court of law or release them if no charges are filed. They have also appealed to human rights organisations to take notice of the growing number of enforced disappearance cases in Balochistan.
