Balochistan: Protestors block the main road against abduction of Baloch footballers
QUETTA: Hundreds of Baloch women and children blocked the main Quetta-Taftan RCD road on Wednesday to demand the immediate and safe release of four Baloch footballers.
The traffic on the Quetta to Taftan road came to a halt after Baloch women and children organised a protest demonstration against the illegal abduction of four Baloch players from Kardgaap area of Mastung Balochistan.
The players were abducted during a football match by Pakistani forces on Sunday 4th of December, 2016 and their whereabouts remain unknown.
The protesters told media persons that the players were innocent and have not committed any offence, however, if there is any evidence against them then they should be presented before a court of law.
The women protestor said, “If the Baloch players are not immediately released, we will expand our protests to other areas of Balochistan for the release of our loved one.”
