 Balochistan: Another Baloch man executed in Zahedan central prison

DOZZAAP (Zahedan): Iranian forces have executed another Baloch man on Wednesday, January 20 in Zahedan central prison.

According to the Baloch Activists Campaign, on January 20, 2021, a Baloch citizen named Abdul Rauf Kabdani son of Yousef from Nasrabad, was executed in Dozzaap (Zahedan) Central Prison.

Abdul Raouf was arrested along with his three young children in October 2015 on drug charges at the Melak border.

After Abdul Raouf was arrested, his young children were handed over to his family.

The Baloch Activists Campaign quoted a source as saying: “Abdul Raouf has no previous criminal record and was sentenced only for carrying a few hundred kilograms drug, namely Opium.”  

According to law, the punishment for trafficking drug (Opium) unarmed is an only prison sentence.

According to Article 4 of the Law on the punishment of Carrying Opium, ‘anyone who carries and stores more than five kilograms of opium will be fined 3 to 5 million Tomans and sentenced to ten to twenty-five years in prison.’

However, if the same crime is repeated then the culprit will be executed money from the confiscation will be given to the family of the convict for a normal living.

It should be noted that in the last 35 days, at least 14 Baluch citizens were executed in Dozzaap (Zahedan) Central Prison.
