Joint Airstrike by Iran and Pakistan Kills 12 Members of Jaish Al-Adl and Injures 4 Others
DOZZAAP (ZAHEDAN) November 6, 2024 — A heavy joint airstrike carried out by the Pakistani military and Iranian forces has resulted in the death of 12 members of Jaish Al-Adl and injuries to 4 others in Sabz Koh between Saravan (Iranian Occupied Balochistan) and Panjgur (Pakistan Occupied Balochistan).
The attack, which took place late on the evening of November 5th, 2024, was described by the group as a coordinated military assault against their ongoing Jihad in Balochistan, in what they termed a “heinous act” by the regime of Velayat-e Faqih (Iran).
The groups confirmed that among those killed in the airstrike were two prominent commanders of Jish al-Adl: Molana Hafiz Ibrahim Sabkzei (known by his organizational name Hafiz Hasan) and Faqir Mohammad Mohammad Zahi (known as Amir Omar). The organisation mourned the loss of these experienced leaders but emphasised that their deaths aligned with their commitment to their cause.
The groups in its statement expressed sorrow over the loss of such seasoned fighters adding, “Although martyrdom was the heartfelt wish of all these martyrs, the loss of such a large number of experienced and brave Mujahideen is a great sorrow for all the oppressed people and the downtrodden of the world,” the statement read.
The airstrike, which occurred as part of the so-called “Martyrs of Security” military exercise between Iran and Pakistan, has been characterised by Jish al-Adl as part of a broader effort by both nations to combat the resistance movement in Balochistan but they remain resolute in their mission.
The statement further emphasised that despite the heavy casualties, the group remains unwavering in its commitment to the struggle against the “tyrannical and sectarian” regime of Velayat-e Faqih. “We know that victory over this oppressive regime will pass through blood and sacrifice. The ongoing Jihad in Balochistan is fully prepared to make any sacrifice,” the message declared.
These attacks in Balochistan occurred after the visit of Abbas Araqchi, the Iranian Foreign Minister, to Pakistan on the morning of 15th Aban. He met with his Pakistani counterpart in Islamabad.
During this meeting, the foreign ministers of Iran and Pakistan agreed to cooperate on border security and address “the challenges of terrorism.” The Pakistani foreign minister stated, “Terrorism is a challenge for both Pakistan and Iran, and the two countries will cooperate to confront these threats in the border areas.”
