BLA takes Responsibility for Killing Pakistani Army Operative in Quetta

QUETTA: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for the killing of Pakistani army operative Mehboob Shah in Quetta on the night of January 29.

According to BLA, Shah was shot dead by their fighters on Manu Jan Road in the Hudda area of the city.

Shah, who was also a member of the police’s Rapid Response Group (RRG), is alleged to have been involved in activities against the freedom struggle, operating under the direction of the Pakistani army.

The BLA in its statement argued that Shah’s role in suppressing the Baloch movement, disguised as a police officer, made him a legitimate target.

The BLA, spokesperson Azad Baloch also warned police personnel against collaborating with the Pakistani military and intelligence agencies, emphasising that those who do so will face dire consequences. “Through this attack, we once again warn the police personnel not to work for the Pakistani army and intelligence agencies, otherwise, everyone will meet their end,” the statement read.

The Pakistan media reports also confirmed the attack and killing of the police official in Quetta.
